Monthly Meeting

Our monthly meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm at the Murray Fire Station #83. The address is 484 W. 5900 S., Murray, UT. We meet in the EOC room, which is in the lower floor. There is an elevator that can be used to get to the lower level right as you pass the stair case on the right.

The topics for the next few meetings are:

  • December 22, 2021: The SLCo ARES 2021 Christmas Dinner will be held at 6:30 pm on December 22 (4th Wed in December), at the Golden Corral in Midvale.  Address is 665 E. 7200 S., Midvale, UT.  I have a room reserved large enough to hold quite a few people!... so please bring your entire family!  I am still trying to get a discount, so please cross your fingers.
  • January 26, 2022: Our In-Person meeting will be held at MFD Station #83, 6:30pm.  Kelly (KD7IMZ) will be hosting this meeting.  I am looking forward in learning about his area of expertise, the VOAD.... and anything else Kelly deems appropriate to present!
  • February 23, 2022: Our In-Person meeting will be held at MFD Station #83, 6:30pm.  We are going to try something different for this meeting.  I am going to give a presentation on Water Purification and Storage, something that may be an important tool in our tool-bag, not only as an amateur radio operator, but as someone that will be affected by a large scale disaster.  If this goes well then I can present a follow-up topic of Sanitation After a Large Scale Event.
